Earlier last month, we travelled to Hong Kong to shoot some new releases in the Hong Kong Jockey Innovation Tower with Talisa Sutton and Dave Wheeler.

The shoot is a celebration of influential women and a tribute to the late Dame Zaha Hadid, the architect of the Innovation Tower.

Throughout the design process at Aris, we take inspiration from our surrounds, from art and architecture. Dame Zaha Hadid's forms have been an influential source of inspiration for us; we are continually fascinated by her ability to seamlessly combine modern lines and fluidity.

The “Queen of Curves” was one of the most inspiring and revolutionary modern-day architects, known for liberating architectural geometry, her flowing designs seemed to defy gravity. Apart from the Innovation Tower, her most acclaimed and recognised works include the aquatic center for the London 2012 Olympics, Guangzhou Opera House in China and the Broad Art Museum in the USA.

In an interview Hadid once said "I am non-European, I don't do conventional work, and I am a woman". She never allowed herself to be pigeon-holed based on her background or gender. She was a ground-breaking architect, the first woman to be awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize, she won the Stirling Prize for architecture twice and was awarded the Royal Institute of British Architect's Royal Gold Medal - an award approved by the Queen.

Dame Zaha Hadid epitomises the Aris woman - purposeful, modern, driven and bold. We hope her legacy will continue to inspire others.

Here are some behind-the-scenes shots to give you a sneak peak of things to come.

We can’t wait to share the final looks with all of you! Styles will be released gradually and will be available for purchase on preorder in the coming weeks.

In part two of our series, we will explore the accomplishments of the leading lady of our shoot, Talisa Sutton.
